Deborah W. Boggs, 73, of Pickens, passed away on January 7th, 2026.
Debbie was born in Atlanta, GA to the late Sidney A. White & Nell Beck (Lemon). She was raised in Griffin, Georgia, then later moved to South Carolina to pursue her education.
Debbie earned her bachelor's degree from Central Wesleyan College, laying the foundation for a meaningful career. For over 30 years, she dedicated her life to teaching elementary school, shaping the lives of countless children with her passion for education. Debbie’s warm spirit and nurturing nature left a lasting impact on her students.
Debbie was a member of Keowee Baptist Church and devoted many years to serving on the Six Mile Town Council. In her retirement, she committed much time developing her God given talent of watercolor painting. What began as a hobby, led to her becoming a commissioned artist who loved sharing her gift with family and friends. She produced many beautiful works of art that reflected her vibrant personality, many of which can be found around homes, businesses, and restaurants across the southeast.
Debbie’s proudest accomplishment was her family, who brought her immense joy and fulfillment.
She touched the lives of many and will be remembered for her kindness and dedication.
Debbie is survived by her children, Rick Martin (Mac), Lindsay Martin Poole (Jason), Rick Boggs (Lynn), Bill Boggs (Pam), Mike Boggs (Theresa), and Angie Bell (Shawn); sisters, Susan Grant, Patty Johnson, and Nedra Kish; grandchildren, Charlie Martin, Corbin Martin, Cathryn Martin, Ezra Poole, Jessica Hoeve (Jamison), Jamisen Boggs, Will Boggs, Ellen Boggs, Lesley Boggs, Holt Edwards, Cohen Edwards, Lauren Bryant (Luke), and Hudson Bell; great-grandchildren, Ryder Boggs, Landon Boggs, and Waylon Boggs; nieces, Shelly Grant Leidig (Gabe) and Stacy Grant Dillingham (Wendell), great-nieces, Makayla Ramsey (Mason) and Carlee Dickie; great-nephews, Jeremy Dickie and Grant Leidig (Brianna); and great-great nieces, Ryleigh and Wren Ramsey; previous husband, Charles Martin.
In addition to her parents, Debbie is preceded in death by her cherished husband Donald E. Boggs; brother, Danny White; brother-in-law Richard Grant, bonus dad Bill Beck, great-nephew Taylor Dickey, and great-grandson, Alex Boggs.
A visitation will be held on January 9th, 2026, at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. A memorial service will be held the following day on Saturday January 10th, 2026, at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home starting at 2:00 PM.
