Deborah Frady Brown, 69, a cherished member of our community, passed away unexpectedly on January 7, 2026, while recovering from surgery.
She was born August 25, 1956, in Stephens County, Georgia, to William Lee Bill Frady and Jessie Mae Hudson Frady. Deborah graduated from Habersham Central High School in 1974 and received her Master's Degree in Special Education from Brenau University. She left an enduring mark on the lives of hundreds of students throughout her career as an English teacher at Habersham Central High School.
She was a devoted member of St. Thomas the Apostle Anglican Church and served faithfully in Daughters of the King. Deborah was a woman loved by every person and animal she met. Her entire life radiated good will and love for friends and family alike. She enjoyed traveling, hiking, reading, and spending time with family, and especially revered the North Georgia mountains and South Carolina low country. She frequently volunteered at the local animal shelter.
