Deborah Ann Burger

Deborah Ann Burger, age 72 of Swarthmore, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday evening, June 10th, 2025 at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital. Born on April 27, 1953, at Delaware County Memorial Hospital In Upper Darby, she was the youngest child of 6 of the late Lucien and Beatrice Sanner.
Debbie, as she was affectionately known, was the proud mother of John and Paul Burger and loving grandmother to Lucien, Jackson, Natalie, and Evelyn Burger. She was known for her strong personality, sharp wit, unwavering opinions, and ability to make the most mundane situations hilarious. Debbie was a lifelong bunny and cat enthusiast, finding endless amusement and companionship in the company of her pets, Jazz Bunny, Tuffy, Sniper, and Melody.
Debbie is survived and missed by her caring sons John (Kelly) Burger of Broomall, PA, and Paul (Linda) Burger of Valrico, FL, her sister Janet Mills of Philadelphia, PA, ex-husband Jack Burger, and several nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lucien and Beatrice Sanner, brother David Sanner, and sisters Christine Fitzgerald and Louise and Regina Sanner.
A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
