Shanlee had a rich and fulfilling career that spanned several roles. A graduate of Collingswood High School in Collingswood, NJ, she began her professional journey as a Secretary at the Department of Pathology, Temple University School of Medicine, where she met her future husband, Howard, who was a Temple medical student at the time.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Shanlee was an enthusiastic collector of art, jewelry and antiques, with specific passions for Wedgewood ceramics, napkin holders and jade. She was also a talented artist, in both painting and sculpture. Shanlee was an avid globetrotter, and she explored numerous countries around the world with Howard. After his passing, Shanlee became an active member of Road Scholars, visiting historic sites.
