Obituary published on Legacy.com by Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care - Peters Township on Feb. 20, 2026.
Nancy J. Gannon nee Tyer, age 81, of McMurray, formerly of Philadelphia passed away peacefully with family by her side on February 19, 2026.

She was the daughter of the late Rose and Joseph Tyer; beloved wife of the late Thomas Gannon Sr.; Loving mother of Thomas (Elaina) Gannon Jr., Mary Denise (Andrew) Fabian, Erin (Benjamin) Evans and Kathleen (Justin Wherry) Gannon; cherished Grumsie of Aidan, Ryan, Joseph, Ethan, Caleb, Elvis, Theoren, Luke and Emily. Dear sister of the late Joseph "Bud" Tyer and Mary Braun. Godmother of Paul Tyer; Also survived by nephews, and her great nieces and nephews.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend whose greatest joy was her family, especially her cherished grandchildren, whom she loved more than anything in the world.

An eternal student at heart, Nancy believed that learning was a lifelong journey. She continually pursued knowledge with curiosity and determination, earning multiple degrees from Temple University. Nancy's love extended beyond people to the animals who shared her life. She was a devoted animal lover, and her beloved cat, Chloe, held a special place in her heart. Chloe was not just a pet, but a constant companion and source of comfort and joy.

Deeply spiritual, Nancy lived her faith through action. She generously volunteered her time teaching CCD and was an active member of the Ladies of St. Benedict. Her faith guided her kindness, her service, and her unwavering compassion for others.
