Bryan Robert Baldasare, 45, of Midtown, Atlanta, formerly of Upper St. Clair, Pennsylvania, passed away on February 10, 2026, in
Atlanta, Georgia.
Bryan was born on July 15, 1980, to Robert and Sandi Baldasare in
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was a proud alumnus of Penn State University, where he built lifelong friendships and discovered passions that shaped the rest of his life.
Bryan is lovingly survived by his fiancée, Reshma Patel, his parents, his brothers, Jeff (Erica) and Andrew (Amy), and his seven nieces and nephews - Samantha, Christian, Bradley, Isabella, Zachary, Lillian, and Kendall - who affectionately knew him as Uncle Bry. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, especially his beloved grandma Ruth Caughie, whom he loved deeply and held close to his heart.
Bryan dedicated his professional career to Barnes & Noble College, where he was known for his commitment, leadership, and genuine care for the colleges and universities he served across the country. He began his career as a college bookstore employee at Penn State before traveling nationwide as an auditor. He later served as a bookstore manager throughout the West, including positions in California, Texas, and Washington. After completing his time managing stores, Bryan's dedication and love for inventory management and systems led him to his final role as Director of Course Material Operations. Eventually, Bryan put down roots on Long Island, where he met his fiancée and soulmate, Reshma. Together, they moved to Atlanta, embracing life fully through travel, shared experiences, and family.
A passionate traveler, Bryan had visited 47 of the 50 states, falling just three short of his goal, that his family plans to complete for him. His love of travel began in high school, where he was a member of the Junior Pittsburgh Orchestra and the Upper St. Clair Band and Orchestra, playing the clarinet and bass clarinet. During the summer of his senior year, he traveled throughout Europe with the Junior Pittsburgh Orchestra, capturing wonderful photographs and enjoying what would become a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience. During this time, he also participated in Ski Club and Rifle Club.
At Penn State, Bryan was a member of the Penn State Rifle Team, where he competed nationally in air rifle and formed some of his closest friendships. Bryan loved sports, especially cheering on Penn State Football. Some of his most treasured memories were made at his on-campus home with his brother Jeff, friends, and family, including special times spent with Andrew-moments that meant the world to him.
After meeting and proposing to Reshma on Long Island, the two spent much of their free time exploring the country together and visiting family in Pittsburgh and Tampa Bay. Bryan loved documenting their travels-sharing photos, visiting new places, and tasting local food and beer wherever they went. Planning these trips, experiencing them side by side, and sharing the stories with his family always filled him with happiness.
Bryan and Reshma were deeply involved in the lives of their nieces and nephews, always trying to make it back to Pittsburgh to watch a game or asking for videos and photos when they could not be there in person. Bryan always made it a point to ask how the kids were doing in school and in sports. They will forever love their Uncle Bry, and it is our hope that they grow up carrying his grace, kindness, and passion in whatever they pursue.
Bryan never had an enemy. He was deeply loved and respected by his colleagues, friends, neighbors, and family. His parents have always been incredibly proud of who he was and all of his accomplishments. His kindness, loyalty, and warmth will be remembered always, and he will be forever missed.
