Eugene Mazza Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care - Peters Township on Mar. 11, 2026.
Eugene "Gene" Mazza, 87, of Castle Shannon, formerly of Eighty Four, PA, passed away on March 11, 2026.

Born on February 23, 1939, in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph and Laura Mazza.

Gene worked for many years at UPS and Joseph Horne's. He took pride in his work and the life he built for his family. Outside of work, Gene enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved spending time with his family, especially sharing laughs and a glass of red wine with his brothers. An avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, Gene rarely missed a game and could always be counted on to cheer on his team. He also enjoyed yard work, solving crossword puzzles, and had a lifelong interest in cars.

Gene will be remembered for his easygoing nature, strong devotion to his family, and the joy he found in everyday moments.

Beloved husband of 61 years to Eileen (Zoog) Mazza; loving father of Gina (Bobby) Rogers and Pamela (Craig) Mysliwczyk. Cherished grandfather of Carlee and Stephen Rogers, and Jacob and Emily Mysliwczyk. Brother of the late Carl (Lee) Mazza, the late Joseph Mazza, Anthony (Tina) Mazza, and Lorraine Hipple. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 3:00 PM until the time of service at 6:30 PM at Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317. Burial will be private at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in Gene's memory to support Parkinson's disease research at: https://support.apdaparkinson.org

Gene's love for his family, his sense of humor, and the many memories shared around the table and in the backyard will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
