Deborah Sue Cavender, 67 of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at Crossing Rivers Health in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. Deborah Sue was born November 20, 1956 to Floyd and Nancy (Dukes) Ray in Kentucky. She attended Prescott Middle School in Chicago, Illinois through the nineth grade.
On April 13, 1975, Deborah was united in marriage with Terry Cavender in Chicago, Illinois. Together they raised three sons and a daughter. Debbie enjoyed making jewelry, taking photos, gardening, loved all animals and playing school with her great-granddaughter. She loved her family and spending time with them and taking care of them was her greatest joy in life.
Surviving Deborah are her husband, Terry Cavender of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin; her sons, David (Barbara) Brown, Gary (Doreen) Cavender and Johnny (Karla) Cavender; daughter, Vanessa (Ricardo) Jaurez; twelve grandchildren, Brieann (Dillon), Amber, Serenity, Melanie, Jacob, Amelia, Jaymison, Blayze, Nathian, Damian, Alex and Matthew; two great-grandchildren, Mia and Kingston; one brother, Donnie Stead; and three sisters, Patti Fleming, Barb Richards and Teri Busse.
Preceding Deborah in death were her parents, Floyd and Nancy Ray; brother, Tony and her sisters, Phillis and Lisa.
A visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm with a prayer service at 3:00 pm on Sunday, September 15, 2024 at Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin.
