Deborah Elizabeth St.Clair, affectionately known also as Debbie, departed this life on June 9, 2025, after a gallant battle with cancer. Born on August 9, 1954, in Little Rock, Arkansas, Deborah's life journey was a remarkable tapestry of love, service, and joyful competitiveness that left an indelible mark on the hearts of those she touched.
Deborah's early years in Arkansas laid a strong foundation for the woman she would become. Her journey led her to Georgetown, Texas, where she spent her final moments surrounded by the love and warmth of her family. Deborah was a cherished beautiful bride to Rick St.Clair for 47 years, a beloved daughter to the late Dolores Dombrowski and Robert Michael Reeves, and a nurturing sister to Robert Michael Reeves II and his spouse Diane, Jerry Bowen, Gayla St.Clair and her spouse Dicky, and Kandy Davis and her spouse David Ackerman.
Her legacy includes her adoring children: daughter Shannon Haywood and her spouse Chris, sons Shane Wright, Shawn Wright and his spouse Tian, and Brian St.Clair and his spouse Amanda. Deborah's life was further enriched by her eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immense joy and pride to her life.
Deborah's professional life was intertwined with the Austin Rodeo for 46 years, where she dedicated her heart and soul. Not one to settle, she also extended her caring touch for 13 years at the Austin Cancer Center and touched young lives as a teacher's aide for special needs children within the LISD. Her commitment to service continued as she served at Summit Worship Center and worked with veterans at Heroes Night Out. Deborah was the kind of person who led by example, and her tenure as the booster club president at Westwood FFA showcased her leadership and passion for community.
Deborah's Christian faith was the cornerstone of her existence, guiding her through life's trials and tribulations with grace and steadfastness. Her interests were as vibrant and varied as her personality. Deborah loved Bingo and approached every game with a fierce competitive spirit, whether it was pool, bowling, poker, dominoes, trivia, or board games. She relished the thrill of gambling and the excitement of traveling to new places. No matter where she went, you could always spot her with a Route 44 Sonic drink in hand, a signature accessory to her spirited adventures.
Christmas was a magical time for Deborah, a season that captured her joy and generosity in its purest form. Her selfless nature, friendly demeanor, and faith-filled life were hallmarks of her existence. These words-selfless, friendly, faith-filled-are not just words but the essence of Deborah's being, the guiding principles she lived by every day.
Let us honor Deborah Elizabeth St. Clair not with sorrow but with the celebration of the life she so beautifully lived and the countless lives she impacted. May her spirit of generosity, her love for life, and her unwavering faith inspire us all to live more fully, love more deeply, and share more generously. In her memory, let us continue to seek joy in the simple pleasures, engage in the community with fervor, and above all, embrace each day as she did, with open arms and an open heart.
A visitation will be held on July 19, 2025 at the Summit Worship Center, 10401 Anderson Mill Road, Ste. 111,
Austin, Texas, beginning at 1:00 p.m., with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests you consider a donation to Hill Country Community Ministries in memory of Deborah.
