Milton Fernando, a beloved father, husband, and friend, was called to his eternal home on March 4, 2026, in
Austin, TX, after a courageous and unwavering battle with cancer. Throughout his illness, Milton faced every challenge with remarkable strength, dignity, and faith, inspiring all who walked beside him.
Born on July 14, 1987, in Salem, India, Milton's life was a testament to his unwavering faith, his dedication to his loved ones, and his passion for his work and hobbies.
After completing his Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communication at the esteemed Karunya Institute of Technology, Milton began a meaningful professional journey. He worked in several respected companies, steadily building his expertise and reputation as a thoughtful, skilled engineer. His career ultimately led him to Capital One, where he served as a Software Engineer. Milton approached his work with humility, curiosity, and commitment, earning the respect of colleagues and friends alike.
Milton's Christian faith was the cornerstone of his life. It guided his actions and gave him strength, influencing the way he lived and the relationships he nurtured. He was a man of prayer, always willing to lend a hand or offer a word of encouragement to those in need. His life was a reflection of the scripture, "Well done, good and faithful servant" (Matthew 25:23).
Married to his wife, Mary Rathisha, Milton found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Together, they welcomed two beautiful children into the world, Juan and Jo, who were the light of Milton's life. He instilled in them the values of love, kindness, and faith, ensuring that his legacy would live on through them.
Milton's interests were as generous as his spirit. He found solace in listening to songs that lifted his soul and joy in playing with his children, who brought immeasurable happiness to his days. Those who knew Milton could attest to his loving nature, his kind demeanor, and his friendly smile that could brighten even the darkest of days.
In his interactions, Milton embodied the words of Mother Teresa: "Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier." His presence was a source of comfort and happiness to all, and his absence will be deeply felt by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
