Deborah Lois Coleman, 78, passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at Evans Memorial Hospital.
She was born on February 5, 1948, in Atlanta, Georgia, to her late parents, Kelly and Dorothy Fortner.
Deborah enjoyed crossword puzzles and spending time on her tablet. She loved being outdoors, tending to her flowers and gardening. She also enjoyed traveling and playing slot machines. Above all, Deborah cherished the time she spent with her friends and family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Gene Fortner.
She will be lovingly remembered by her son and daughter-in-law, Robbie and Lynn Coleman; her daughter and fiancé, Anita Coto and Frank Hardy; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and Frank Ray, and Barbara Ann and Eddie Franklin; her grandchildren, Nicole McBride, Caleb Coto, and Jackson Hardy; her great-grandchildren, Sebastian Coto and Aurora Coto; along with several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Friday evening, February 20, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Carlson and Riggs Funeral Home. A memorial service will take place on Saturday morning, February 21, 2026, at 10:00 am in the Carlson and Riggs Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Guyton City Cemetery.
