Deborah Elizabeth DuCharme Crouch, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on August 1, 2025, at the age of 72. Born on August 29, 1952, in Bethesda, Maryland, to the late Robert Forrest DuCharme and June Rose DuCharme, Debbie's life was a testament to the power of kindness, dedication, and the joy of family.

Debbie's journey through life was marked by her unwavering commitment to her loved ones and her community. She is the cherished wife of Gary Crouch for 52 remarkable years, a union that was a true partnership in every sense of the word. Together, they raised two sons, Jay Paul Crouch (Heidi) and Jody Lee Crouch (Megan), who were her pride and joy. Debbie's legacy continued to flourish through her adored grandchildren, Ector Gutierrez (Carmen), Jay P. Crouch Jr., Amelia J. Crouch, Claire E. Crouch, Connor M. Crouch, and Cal R. Crouch, as well as her treasured great-grandchildren, Elliana and Camilla Gutierrez. Debbie is also survived by her siblings, Robert Michael DuCharme (Susan) and Carol Ann DuCharme, as well as a host of extended family members and dear friends.

Debbie earned an Associate's degree from Prince George's Community College, which served as a foundation for her successful career. She was an office manager at the family business Brand Export Packing, and owned and operated a daycare in Slidell. Her professional journey reached a pinnacle when she became the Executive Director of East St. Tammany Habitat for Humanity, a role that allowed her to channel her passion for helping others into tangible change within her community. Debbie was a dedicated volunteer, supporting many community events such as the Louisiana Veterans Festival and Olde Towne Pumpkin Fest. She consistently led by example and encouraged others to give back. Her involvement in community events was a reflection of her belief in the collective power of individuals to make a difference.

Debbie's interests were as varied as they were meaningful. An avid reader, Debbie found solace in the pages of books. Her active engagement with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was a source of immense joy. Debbie also had a green thumb and could often be found caring for her garden. She loved sitting on her patio watching her backyard wildlife.

Debbie lived a life rich in experiences, love, and service. Her memory will continue to inspire those who knew her to live with purpose and compassion. Her spirit, characterized by generosity and warmth, will forever be cherished and remembered.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Audubon Funeral Home in Slidell.
