As an author, Jerry found joy in researching and writing about various subjects over the years with many books published. Jerry was active in politics throughout his younger years and enjoyed cross-country skiing and his daily racketball game while working in Ogden. A 17-year-long consecutive attendance at the Cedar City Shakespearean Festival, and daily viewing of romantic comedies were among his cherished pastimes.
Family was paramount to Jerry, and he cherished every gathering, particularly on holidays. The meals were meticulously enjoyed, and he always cleaned his plate.
