On the evening of December 18th, 2025, Frank W Rone, III, fondly known as Frankie, peacefully passed away. He was born on June 28, 1971 in
Sacramento, CA, to Frank II and Anne Rone. Frankie graduated in 1989 from Bella Vista HS in
Fair Oaks, CA and attended American River College, before moving to
Ogden, Utah in 2017.
Before MS took his muscle control and most of his sight, Frankie was an excellent guitar player and a "child of 80's rock". He liked to go on walks, be in nature, and visit with neighbors and family. Although he grew up watching the San Francisco 49'ers, Frankie was always a Dallas Cowboys fan at heart. Frankie was an old soul, patient, funny, quick-witted, and he had an infectious smile. Despite the physical constraints brought on by Multiple Sclerosis, his spirit remained unchanged. He was a man of few words, never complaining about his ailments. He was an inspiration.
Though unable to attend church due to his disability, he enjoyed listening to church services at home on TV, sometimes listening to the gospel while "resting his eyes". 2 Corinthians 5:1, "For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands." Because Frankie believed in Jesus Christ and was saved, he is no longer confined in his disabled body but is now with his heavenly father, free of limitations and pain.
Frankie is survived by his mother, Anne Rone and his sisters, Becky (Darin) Roylance and Elizabeth (Robert) Ward, as well as a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank II, grandparents, Frank, Sr and Georgie Rone and Robert and Irene Hatala along with several uncles and an aunt.
His family would like to thank the staff, nurses, aides and doctors at The Terrace for their compassionate care while he lived there, especially in his final hours
Please join us in celebrating the life of Frank Rone. There will be a Celebration of Life service at Alpine Church located at 5050 S 1275 W Riverdale, UT on January 17th at 2pm MST. The event will be live streamed for those who are unable to attend in person.
