A family directed service for Lorraine will be held on September 24, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Corner Stone Assembly in Baudette, where family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate Lorraine's extraordinary life.

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Lorraine Minnicent Rone, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, who went home to the Lord on September 12, 2025, at the age of 88. Born February 8, 1937, in Equinunk, Pennsylvania, Lorraine lived a life full of faith, love, laughter, and service to others.
Lorraine was the daughter of George E. Price and Angeline L. DeLucia. She grew up in Equinunk, PA, where she developed her strong sense of community and love for people. At 18, she married her high school sweetheart, Terrance D. "Moe" Mosher, in Corning, NY. Together, they welcomed six children and built a home filled with love, faith, and cherished memories. Later, in 1971, Lorraine married Rod W. Rone in South Dakota, embracing his four children as her own and blending two families into one. She and Rod shared a beautiful marriage until his passing in 1996.
As an Air Force wife, Lorraine created a welcoming home for her family while living in many states and overseas in Germany. Her work was as diverse as it was meaningful, waitress, barmaid, Birthright Coordinator, devoted stay-at-home mother, but her heart was always with her family.
Lorraine was a proud and loving mother to Karen (John) Frank, David Mosher, Lori (Rocky) Thompson, Michelle Mosher (daughter-in-law), Mike (Estelle) Mosher, Rick (Jen) Rone, and Mike Rone.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Rod Rone; her brother John Price; her children Terry Mosher, Brenda Rone, and David Lee Mosher; her granddaughter Angie Thompson; and her great-grandson Tristan Westlake.
Her legacy lives on through her surviving children, her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even a great-great-grandchild. Among those who lovingly carry forward her spirit are Carolyn (CJ) Miller, Corie (Mike) Westlake, Amy (Matt) Larson, Logan Mosher, Katie (Brad) Levasseur, Ariel (Raul) Mota, Maddison (Matthew) Lockhart, Riley (Katie) Mosher, McKenzie Mosher, Kennedy Mosher, Jewel Laverdure, Matthew Laverdure, Kate Gall and Chantal Laverdure, along with countless others whose lives she touched deeply.
Known as "Gram" or "Gigi" not only to her own family but also to neighborhood children, Lorraine was a true force of love in her community. For 35 years, she organized the local Easter Egg Hunt with the American Legion, and for 15 years, she coordinated the St. Jude’s bike-a-thon. She was active in the American Legion, VFW, and Moose Club, always giving her time and energy to causes close to her heart.
Lorraine had a zest for life that never dimmed. She loved garage sales, Bingo nights, and volunteering at raffles, earning the nickname "Vanna" for her flair at the prize wheel. Always dressed to impress and quick with a smile or a sassy remark, she was a firecracker with a heart of gold. She especially loved cheering on her great-grandchildren at their sporting events, her presence a steady reminder of her unconditional love and support.
Those who knew Lorraine will remember her as a loyal friend, a devoted mother, and a woman of remarkable strength and spirit. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, family, service, and joy that will forever echo in the lives of those she touched. May Lorraine Minnicent Rone rest in peace, surrounded by the eternal love and joy she so freely gave.
