Deborah Darpino Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Christy Funeral Home - Millville on Jan. 2, 2026.
Deborah Lynn Darpino, passed away on Tuesday, December 30th, 2025 after a prolonged illness. Deborah was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend, whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of many. She was 55 years old.
Deborah was a resident of Landisville for the past decade, though her roots were deeply planted in Vineland, where she was raised and spent many cherished years. A proud graduate of Widener University School of Law, Deborah dedicated her life to the practice of law, serving her community with integrity and passion through her own law office in Bridgeton, NJ. Her career began as a paralegal with the Law Office of Terry Stomel, where she maintained a valued professional relationship throughout her life.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Deborah was known for her creativity and love of crafting. She found joy in making beaded trees and had a knack for reusing and refurbishing second-hand items, breathing new life into them with her artistic touch. An avid soccer player, Deborah enjoyed the sport throughout her youth and adult life, embodying the spirit of teamwork and perseverance.
Deborah is survived by her loving children, Christina Baer and Nicholas Grotti (Brooke), and her adored grandchildren, Genavieve, Gabriel, and Wren. She also leaves behind her devoted parents, Irene Darpino and Robert Darpino (Sandra), her sister Jennifer Rhodes (Michael), and two nieces and two nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert K. Darpino, Jr.
Cremation will be held privately. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Deborah are invited to join together for a visitation on Friday January 9, 2026 from 6:00 to 7:00 pm at the Christy Funeral Home, 11 West Broad St., Millville, NJ. A memorial service will begin at 7:00 pm. Condolences and tributes may be shared on her tribute wall.

Being involved with girls soccer for a dozen years gave me and my family the opportunity to get to see and know Debbie She was a key player on any team she played for. Especially remembering her contributions to the Vineland High School teams brings back fond memories. Always smiling and being able to do what was needed to help her team´s success made her a key component. A good skilled athlete who knew where to be and what to do made her a team leader. Fear was not a word in her vocabulary. As the early stages of the game progressed it seemed that players from the other team became well aware of where Debbie was on the field It was almost like that she had a protective force field around her that other team´s players learned to avoid...the hard way.Debbie must have made anyone who knew her feel the wonderful kind of person that she was. I will always remember her smile and she will be missed by many. Peace be with you Debbie Leo ,Betty ,Daria ,Marcy and Lee Darmstadter

I played soccer with Deb for several seasons in our "adult" years and we also had a lot of professional contact as lawyers. Deb always made me laugh and she was always smiling.
You will be missed....
