William Frederick Bontcue III

William Frederick Bontcue III, better known as "Bill," a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2026. A longtime resident of Vineland, New Jersey, Bill was born in Bridgeton, New Jersey, and dedicated his life to serving his community and his family.

Bill proudly served in the United States Navy, where he developed a strong sense of duty and camaraderie that he carried throughout his life. After his military service, he worked as a welder and later as a Corrections Officer for the State of New Jersey.

In addition to his professional life, Bill was a former volunteer firefighter with the Vineland Fire Department. He spent many years honing his craft as a skilled welder and had a passion for working in his garage and tending his vegetable garden. He enjoyed cars, the outdoors, and, most of all, spending time with those he loved.

William is survived by his devoted wife, Pat; his loving children, Bill Bontcue and his wife Kristy, and Jill Bontcue; and his cherished grandchildren, Emmy, Sai, and Liam. He is also survived by his siblings, Alice Dunkle, and Frankie and Jeanne Tayvinsky.

He will be remembered for his strength, loyalty, and unwavering love for his family.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation at Christy Funeral Home, 11 West Broad Street, Millville, New Jersey, on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. at the Parish of All Saints, Buck and Depot Streets, Millville. Inurnment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in Millville. Memories of William and condolences for his family may be shared on his tribute wall.
