Deborah Donald, age 69, of DeBerry, Texas, passed away on Tuesday evening, March 10, 2026 at her home in DeBerry. She was born on March 6, 1957, in Houston, Texas, to Wallace Laughlin Shields, Sr. and Juanita Maxine Evans Shields. Deborah married Larry Dean Donald on September 2, 1983, and he preceded her in death on January 29, 2019, after 36 years of marriage. Deborah served many people while working at the Coffee Shop in Carthage for 28 years. She enjoyed spending time and making memories with her children and grandchildren.
Deborah was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Larry Dean “Bubba” Donald, Jr.; son-in-law, James Hicks; mother-in-law, Emma Corley; and brother-in-law, Curtis Donald.
Survivors include her daughters, Stephanie Hicks, Casey Griffith and husband William Jr, and Brook Donald; eleven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 13, 2026, at the Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Buddy Briggs officiating. Interment will follow at Antioch Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home prior to the funeral service.
Pallbearers include Stephanie Hicks, Casey Griffith, Jason Townsend, William Griffith III, William Griffith Jr., and Emily Gunderson.
Honorary pallbearers include Kolton Hicks, Brook Donald, Kimberly Griffith, Haley Griffith, Samantha Griffith, and Elizabeth Griffith.
