Deborah Ann Evans Smith

Deborah Ann Evans-Smith passed away peacefully at home on October 4th, 2025, in Laurens County, SC, near Ware Shoals. She was born at Donaldson Air Force Base, in Greenville, SC, on August 29, 1956. She is the daughter of Edward James Evans and Margaret Louise Edwards, from Blue Ridge, who are both predeceased, as well as her youngest brother, Kenneth Brent Evans.
During her career she worked as a psychotherapist at various institutions and at Psychiatric doctors offices. She received her Masters Degree from Clemson University.
She loved spending time with family and friends as well as playing classical music on the piano as well as singing Karaoke and baking cookies and cakes.
She is survived by her husband, Marion Thomas Lineberger, Jr, her two sons: Michael James Zietz and Christopher Stephen Zietz, from Greenville County, SC, as well as her brothers, Brian Joseph Evans and Edward Dean Evans (Delores), from Blue Ridge, SC She also has two grandchildren: Broderick Cash Shoemaker-Zietz and Evelyn Renee Zietz by her son Chris and his wife Alicia Danielle Zietz.
