Deborah Sue Gamel, 68, passed away quietly in her sleep on August 24, 2025, at her home in Nashville, Tennessee. Deborah was a caring and devoted friend to those she cared about. She spent her life working as a CNA, taking care of and connecting with others. Her absence will be felt by those who surrounded her.

She was a caring mother to two daughters, Cincinatti Henshaw and Laurel Gruber, and two grandchildren, Christian Roach and Anna Maloney. She leaves behind siblings, Michael Lewis, Victoria Gamel, Karen Stanley, Timothy Gamel, Christopher Gamel, Marla Nelson, and multiple nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Nevada Lee Henshaw; her father, William Ole Gamel; her mother, Mary Lou Waters; her brother, William Joseph Gamel; and her sisters Prudence Waters and Eugenia Waters.

To honor her wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial. In lieu of flowers, please
donate to a charity of your choice.
