Kenneth Albert Warren, Jr died on Saturday, February 21st 2026 in his home residence in Greenbrier, TN at the age of 85. He is survived by his wife Julia Arlene (Gainous) Warren of Greenbrier, TN, his sons Kenneth Scott Warren of Greenbrier, TN and Kevin Warren of Clemmons, NC, step daughter Shea Sanders (Andrew Colon) of Fairview TN, and step son Michael Brant Sanders of Cookville. He was blessed with 5 Grand children Jacob (Megan) Warren, Taylor (Nick) Magnum, Benjamin (Destiny) Warren, Wesley (Mana) Warren, Madeleine (Alex) Vahl, Colton Sanders. He has 4 Great Grand children Piper, Hayden, Christian, and Henry.
He was born on May 19th 1940 in Charleston, SC to Albert Kenneth Warren, Sr. and Claudia Lily Ruxton. He graduated from Glenbard Township Highschool in Glen Ellyn, IL. He earned a degree in Business from the University of Iowa in 1970.
He met his wife Julia Arlene Gainous when they worked at the same company in Nashville in 1981 and then were later married in Nashville in the summer of 1982 and were married for 43 years until the time of his passing.
He joined in the United States Air Force in 1958 where he served at Syracuse University for Language School, and a duty station in Wiesbaden, Germany where he served as a Russian Language Interpreter and he was honorably discharged as an Airman First Class in 1962.
He was a member of St. Ann's Church in Nashville, TN. He was particularly passionate about working with Make a Wish Foundation, The Salvation Army, Safe Haven Family Shelter, St. Lukes Community House, and many other non-profit and civic organizations. He was a Memphis Style BBQ Judge, and was a master gardener with a particular love for Roses.
A Funeral Mass is scheduled for Tuesday March 3rd, 2026, at 12:00 PM at St. Ann Catholic Church 5101 Charlotte Ave, Nashville, TN 37209 with Fr. Michael Fye, officiating. Burial with Military Honors to follow at Middle TN Veterans Cemetery. Visitation with the Warren family will be held Tuesday prior the service starting at 11:00 AM at St. Ann Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Isaiah House Isaiah 117 House and the Heart of Mary House Home – Heart of Mary House The family would like to thank the staff of Alive Hospice of Nashville for their amazing care and service, and the medical staff at Centennial Medical Center of Nashville.
