Deborah Ann Hill, 59, of Colorado City, Texas, passed away on January 7, 2026, after a courageous and determined battle with cancer that she faced with strength and grace since 2019.
Debbie was born on September 20, 1966, to Edward and Ruth Orona. From an early age, she was known for her warm spirit, honest heart, and a smile that could light up any room. Her laughter was contagious, her kindness genuine, and her love for others unwavering. Debbie lived life with no filter—she spoke the truth with sincerity and humor—and those who knew her cherished her authenticity.
Debbie was devoted to both her family and her career. She worked for FEMA for almost 30 years and remained deeply committed to her work throughout her life. Debbie took great pride in helping others during some of their most difficult moments, and her compassion and dedication were evident in everything she did. Her service reflected her generous heart and lifelong desire to care for those in need.
She was a devoted wife, mother, Nana, sister, and friend. Deborah’s greatest joy came from her family, whom she loved fiercely and wholeheartedly. She was deeply loved by many and will be remembered for her pure heart, kindness, and the way she made everyone around her feel seen and valued.
Debbie is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Joe Hill, Sr.; her sons and their families, Joe Jr. & Jen Hill, Jobie & Angeleyna Hill, and Jarrid & Tori Hill; her beloved grandsons, Jaylan, Gage, Gavin, Judd, and Jace; her mother, Ruth Orona; and her siblings, Eugene Orona and Edna Garza.
Deborah Ann Hill leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, honesty, service, and compassion. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
