Deborah Lynn "Debbie" Holman, age 65, of Tamaroa, passed away peacefully at 10:07pm on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Pinckneyville Community Hospital, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and dedication.
She was born Tuesday, August 25, 1959 in Norfolk, Virginia, a daughter of Walter and Dixie Marie (Bandy) Pearce. She married the love of her life, Larry Dean Holman on July 15, 1975 at Cave-in-Rock.
A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Debbie cherished every moment spent with her loved ones. Her family was her greatest joy, and she reveled in the time she spent with her grandbabies, teaching them to swim in her beloved pool and creating memories that will last a lifetime.
Debbie was a passionate and accomplished medical provider, serving as a dedicated nurse practitioner who touched countless lives through her work. Her commitment to healing and caring for others was evident in everything she did, and her patients and colleagues alike admired her kindness, expertise, and generosity.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Debbie had a love of the ocean and all its wonders, even scuba diving to explore the underwater world. Her appreciation for nature was matched only by her love of reading, which brought her endless joy and enrichment.
She is survived by her husband- Larry Dean Holman of Tamaroa; son- Michael Holman of Mount Vernon; daughter- Tracy Holman of Zeigler; daughter- Crissy Holman of Benton; daughter- Amy (David) Hill of Du Quoin; eight grandchildren- Ian Holman, Jarrod Hill, Camryn Hill, Harper Hill, Addie Hill, Delaney Coulom, Shawna Catalana, and Zack Squibb; and brother- Barry Pearce of West Frankfort
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Though Debbie will be deeply missed, her spirit will live on through the countless lives she touched and the memories she created with her family. Her legacy of love, compassion, and dedication will continue to inspire and uplift all who knew her.
At Debbie's request, no public services will be held at this time. Private celebration of life services will be held at a later date. Maxton-Rosado Funeral Home in Du Quoin is honored to have been called to serve the family.
