Deborah K. "Debbie" Jonas

Deborah K. Jonas (Debbie), age 72 of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on January 26, 2026. She was born on November 28, 1953 in San Antonio, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her parents James H. and Wilma (Rabel) Jonas and sister Gail Jonas.

She is survived by her sister Cherry Lynn Jonas, her aunt, Betty Jonas and numerous cousins.

Debbie graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1970 and in 1976 she graduated from Incarnate Word College. After college, she worked at United Methodist Church preschool. She worked there for 43 years and loved every minute of it. Debbie enjoyed cooking and caring for her lovely flowers.

On Tuesday, February 24, 2026 the Rosary will be recited at 10:30 A.M. followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M. at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 700 Dewhurst, San Antonio, TX 78213. Private interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Debbie's memory may be made to St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church where Debbie proudly served as a Eucharistic minister for many years.
