Deborah Marilyn (Thorne) Keys, 73 of Bluefield, WV passed away Friday November 8, 2024 at Princeton Community Hospital in Princeton, WV.
She was born March 21, 1951 on Browning Lambert Mountain. Debbie was a loving, caring, and wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She loved her flowers, gardening, was an amazing cook, enjoyed reading and researching family history. Her favorite thing though was spending time with her family whether it was a random visit, a holiday, a beach trip, or a road trip to visit family out of state. She was of the Christian faith and attended Divine Hope Ministry in Glenwood. Debbie worked at Athlete's Closet/ Bluewell Post Office in Bluewell WV; Krogers in Bluewell WV; Arrowhead Deli, in Brushfork, WV; Rose's in Brushfork, WV; R&T Electric in Falls Mills,VA among other places.
She was preceeded in death by he paternal grandparents: Rennie and Beulah (Thomas) Thorne; maternal grandparents: Emett and Lutie (Huffman) Jones; parents: Henry B. and Mary L. (Jones) Thorne; brother: Russell C. Thorne; sons: Kevin M. Keys and Greg D. Keys; and a grandson: Christian G.Belcher.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband: Phillip D. Keys of Bluefield, WV; daughters: Candace N. (Keys) Belcher of Bluefield, WV and Melissa A. (Rice) Keys of Bluefield, WV; granddaughters: Samantha D. Keys and fiance Jacob Parker of Greenvalley, WV; DeAnna M. Keys of Bluefield, WV; Katelyn R. Keys of Bluefield WV, and Brooklyn L. Belcher of Bluefield, WV; a great granddaughter: Aurora Parker of Greenvalley, WV; a Brother: Robert and Ethel (Morris) Thorne of Lerona, WV; Sisters: Eilene and Roy Saunders of Charlotte Court House, VA; Hazel ( Thorne) Wagner of Florida; Connie and Vic Patton of Chesapeake, VA; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins. There are several people that through the years also became family to her that she looked at as sons and daughters. Just know how much she loved each of you and felt blessed to have you all in her life.
Memorial services will be conducted on Sat, Nov 23, 2024 at 1:00pm at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Pastor Stephan Webb officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00-1:00.
