Deborah "Debbie" Liss passed away on September 17, 2025, at Reid hospital surrounded by loved ones. She fought a long courageous battle with COPD. Debbie was born February 24, 1960, in Winchester Indiana to Helen and John Morris. She was raised in Winchester and graduated from WCHS in 1978.

She is proceeded in death by her father, John Morris, mother, Helen Morris, Brothers, John (Bear) Morris Jr., Ron Morris and Tommy Morris. She was also proceeded by her first husband Marvin Halstead and son Elijah Halstead and second husband, Kevin Liss.

Leaving behind to cherish her memories are her significant other Howard Zorn, and his family, brother Mike (Jody) Morris, Daughter Cassandra (JD) West, grandsons Jackson Liss and Walker West, nephews, Steve (Amanda) Morris, Zach (Hayley) South, John (Lyndsay) Morris, Ryan (Jessica) Liss, Cameron Liss and nieces, Allie (Matthew) Kirkpatrick, Mandy Liss, Chrystal (Rupam) Som and Kendra Liss.

Debbie worked for Darke County Board of MRDD as an Adult Services Specialist for 25 years. She spent time working at Nursing Homes and doing Home Health Care as a CNA as well. Debbie was described by most as a sweet and kind lady. There was never anyone that she would not help or anything she wouldn't do for those in need. Debbie had a strong will and fiercely loved her family.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandsons and talking with her friends and brothers about the latest happenings. She volunteered on the Relay for Life committee for over ten years. Debbie also ran the Union City Swim Team concession stands for years along with the band booster concession stands in Union City.

Services will be at Walker funeral home on Wednesday September 24th, 2025 with visitation two hours prior from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM. The services will be led by Andrew Elson. Walker Funeral Home in Winchester, Indiana is entrusted with the arrangements. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.walkerswinchester.com
