Deborah MacDonald

Deborah (Callahan) MacDonald, 72 of Rockland, passed away unexpectedly on December 8, 2025. Born in Boston on June 26, 1953 she was the loving daughter of the late James and Anna Callahan.

Deborah was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Deborah attended Rockland High School, graduating in 1972. While there, she met and fell in love with her High School sweetheart, William. They would make Rockland their home, raising their 4 children there. She was very dedicated to her faith and her church. Deborah was an independent woman and had her own opinion about everything. She expressed her love to her family through crocheting blankets for them. No matter what occasion she would send a card to show she was thinking of you.

She is survived by her husband Willam MacDonald of Rockland, and their children Thomas MacDonald of Brockton and his fiancée Tiffany Cobbett, Janey Bruington of Gaithersburg, Maryland, Kelli MacDonald of Pembroke with her significant other Thomas Mellen, and Jessica MacDonald of Rockland. Along with her 9 grandchildren; Christopher Dubuc, Jacob Bruington, Christian Mellen, Alexis Bruington, Kayla Gray, Matthew MacDonald, Alanna Gray, Lucas MacDonald, and Shane Badmington. She is also survived by several loving relatives, too numerous to list such as sisters, brothers, nieces, and nephews.

Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 45 East Water St, Rockland, on Sunday, December 14th from 1-4pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church, 403 Union St, Rockland, on Monday at 9am, followed by a burial at Holy Family Cemetery, 92 Centre Ave, Rockland.
