Deborah Lucretia McMurtry

Deborah Lucretia McMurtry, 59, of Winter Haven, Florida, passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at her home. She was born December 3, 1965, in Clinton, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Thomas A. McMurtry and Inez Overpeck McMurtry. She was a receptionist at Lake Mariam Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Winter Haven.
She is survived by her brother, Greg (Tina) McMurtry of Kingman, Indiana; her sister, Karen (Scott) Sheetz of Rockville, Indiana; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Scholosser, and her special friend, Corinna McMahan.
She was a 1984 graduate of Rockville High School. Deb found joy in her independence and the simple pleasures of life, particularly the companionship of her beloved dog, who was always by her side. She valued her close friendships and cherished moments shared with those who truly knew her heart.
Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 28, 2025, at Memory Garden in Rockville, Indiana. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Gooch Funeral Home & Crematory.
