Nancy Jane Johnston

DANA – Nancy Jane Stanton Johnston, 94, of Dana, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at Towne Park Assisted Living in Brazil.

She was born July 10, 1931, in Carbondale, Pennsylvania, to the late Donald Stanton and Emily Ward Stanton. Her husband of 40 years, John Thomas Johnston, whom she married August 26, 1950, preceded her in death on February 6, 1991.

Nancy worked for many years as a medical office secretary. She was a member of the Dana Firemen's Auxiliary and enjoyed needlepoint, crocheting, and traveling. She especially cherished time spent with her family.

Survivors include one son, Jack W. Johnston of Dana; one daughter, Marily Johnston Stern of Santa Maria, California; one sister, Lois Benjamin of California; six grandchildren, Fawn Peacock, Melanie Rager, Traci Farrar, Joshua Johnston, Kayla Walker, and Nicole Johnston; and several great-grandchildren.

Private graveside services will be held at Bono Cemetery in Dana.
