Deborah R. McNeill

EAST HAMPTON, CT - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Deborah Robertson McNeill. On February 11, 2026, at the age of 71, with her beloved husband of 55 years by her side, she was called home by our Heavenly Father to be reunited with her only son, Duncan McNeill IV (King).

Deborah was born May 4,1954 in Boston, Massachusetts, to Edward A. Robertson and Freddie H. Robertson, both of whom preceded her in death. In 1956, her family relocated to Reidsville, North Carolina. She attended public schools in Reidsville and was a member of the Class of 1972 at Reidsville Senior High School. Following high school, Deborah dedicated much of her professional life to the healthcare field, where she served others with compassion and care.

Deborah married her soulmate since the first grade and the love of her life, Duncan S. McNeill III on October 12, 1970. Together they built a life rooted in faith, family and love, and were blessed with two children, Aprile Odenheimer and Duncan S. McNeill IV (King).

She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband, her loving daughter, Aprile (Joseph), and two treasured grandchildren, Ripley and Abby Odenheimer, who were truly the joy of her heart. She is also survived by her siblings: Jerry A. Robertson (Shelia), Larry Robertson, William L. Robertson (Yolanda), Robin Adams, Ray Robertson (Cynthia), Edna Totten (Donnie), Freda Robertson and Edward Robertson. In addition to her parents and son, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Minnie Miskel and Terry D. Robertson.

Deborah also leaves to mourn her passing her brother and sister-in-law, Cleveland and Philemina Jones, as well as her daughter-in-love, LaVita Stalsworth. Deborah also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends whom she loved dearly. Her warmth, friendliness and quick wit brightened every room she entered. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
