Deborah Elaine Medows passed away peacefully March 14, 2022 at home in Sumter, South Carolina.
Debbie was born in New York in 1962 to Jeanette Ronetta Shaw and Edward Medows. She lived a life full of adventure that began with growing up in Brooklyn, NY. Debbie completed her college education at John Jay College in NY and received a degree in Criminal Justice. Debbie lived in Elmhurst, Rego Park and Maryland before moving south and retiring in South Carolina. She made friends easily and carried those friendships with her through time. Her former co-workers at the Manhattan US Post Office remained close friends for years. Debbie enjoyed volunteering at the US Capital for a while when she lived in Maryland. She was an avid fan of Yankees and of old television shows. She collected African art and gifted her collection to many family members.
She is preceded in death by both her parents and two brothers, Frank and Steve.
Debbie is much loved and leaves behind one brother, Kenneth; two sisters:Rhonda & Karen, many nieces and nephews and especially Charles Medows.
