Deborah Rose Minich

Deborah Rose "Debbie" Minich, 66 passed away March 8, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with Huntington's Disease. Debbie was born on May 18, 1959, in Fort Wayne to the late James and Dorothy Cunningham.

Debbie loved to have fun and had a joyful spirit. She truly enjoyed being around people and made those around her feel welcome. She loved music, dancing, spending time at the lake, and traveling to Florida to soak up the beautiful sunshine. If anyone ever needed help, Debbie was always there for them.

She especially cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren, as well as with her mother and sister-together they were called "The Three Amigos." Debbie also adored her Yorkie dogs and leaves behind her beloved Hollie for Joe to care for.

Debbie had a caring heart. She ran a daycare and spent many years teaching Sunday School, touching the lives of many children and families along the way.

She is survived by her children, Joe (Precious) Minich, Cassandra Pirtle, Christa Minich, Michael Minich and Kelly Minich; 10 grandchildren, Mariah, Marissa, Grayson, K.J., Lani, Halo, Haley, Kimora, Elizabeth and Keith and a sister, Theresa Luke. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Carolyn Dills.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm, Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, Fort Wayne. Calling hours will be two hours prior to the service, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. She will be laid to rest following the services in Covington Memorial Gardens.
