Deborah Gayle Moore

Deborah Gayle Perry Moore, age 70 of Winchester, passed away at St. Thomas West in Nashville, on December 27, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. A native of Franklin County she was born on April 20, 1955, to the late John Arthur Perry "Ott" and Carlin Partin Perry. Deb was employed at Wiseman's Café in Decherd, TN in her younger years, where she met the love of her life Willie Leon Moore. They were married on May 22, 1976, and welcomed their daughter, Rainy, in December of 1976. Throughout the rest of her life Deb was a faithful homemaker. She had a great sense of humor full of jokes and could make anyone laugh. Everyone that met her loved her and said she had a heart of gold. In her spare time, she enjoyed fishing, playing cards, working crossword puzzles, making crafts, and playing games on her phone. She treasured the time spent with her daughter, grandchildren, great grandchildren, partner and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, John Arthur "Ott" and Carlin Partin Perry; husband Willie Leon Moore; brother, John Arthur Perry; and nephew, Danny Raymond Sons, Jr. Deb is survived by her daughter, Rainy Moore Cook; grandson, Zachary Moore; granddaughter, Heather (Mookie) Haney, and Lori Cook; great-granddaughters, Shylee Stamper, Nylayah Evans, Blakelyn Haney, Nyanna Evans, and Raelyn Haney; sisters, Doris (Danny) Sons Sr., and Brenda Dudley; sister-in-law, Judy Hill; nieces, Beverly (Craig) Glasner, Daphne (Scott) Goode, Misty (Shane) White, and Jessica (Brandon) Lewter; nephews, Darrell (Debbie) Dudley, Anthony Dudley, and Tracy (Jill) Sons; many great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews; partner of ten years, Dewey Hindshaw; and special friend, Yolanda Millien. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 4, 2026, from 12:00pm – 2:00pm at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 2:00pm from the chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Bro. Terry K. Grammer Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Gardens with Mookie Haney, Michael Haney, Anthony Dudley, Darrell Dudley, Patrick Prince and Kameron Wells all serving as pallbearers.
