Deborah Camille Lacy Morton, 74, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on October 18, 2025. She was born on January 15, 1951, on Sand Mountain. She attended Sylvania High School where she was a cheerleader. She was a member of Fairview Primitive Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening. She loved cheering for Alabama Football and the Atlanta Braves. Deborah also loved Friday night football and was affectionately known as "Drumline Nana." Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and supporting their activities. She was a mother to everyone and always took care of others. In addition to this, she came from a long line of Sacred Harp Singers. She will be remembered for always wanting to have fun and being the life of the party.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard C. "Lindberg" Lacy Sr. and Alma Mitchell Williamson; maternal grandparents, Virgil and Lela Mitchell; paternal grandparents, Leonard "Pop" and Nora Lacy; daughter-in-law, Wendy Morton; and great-grandson, Jaxson Collier.
Those left to cherish her memory are her brothers, Leonard "Rusty" Lacy and Jeff (Becky) Lacy; children, Angela (Ken Collier, Jr) Collier and Daniel Morton; grandchildren, Joshua Collier, Garrett (Megan) Morton, Lacy Collier, and Tré (Lexie) Collier; great-grandchildren, Hunter Collier, Remington Collier, Zayne, Maggie, and Lincoln; and nieces, Christy Lacy Pena and Gina Lacy.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 24, 2025, and from 11:00a.m. to 12:30p.m. on Saturday, October 25, 2025. at Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, South Crest Chapel, 833 Chickamauga Ave.,
Rossville, Georgia.
A graveside service will follow at 1:00p.m. at Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.
