Deborah A. Nicolar

Deborah A. Nicolar, 66, of Waterbury passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Isabel "Betty" and Roland Nicolar. Debbie was a lifelong resident of her much-loved City of Waterbury. She was born and raised in the Brooklyn neighborhood (section of Waterbury) with its strong Lithuanian Ethnicity, which surrounded Debbie with the traditions of the neighborhood she called home.
She graduated from St Joseph's Grammar School, Kennedy High School and Mattatuck Community College.
Debbie began her work career at Unisys in Waterbury moving up to the position of Production Planner. Subsequent to the plant closing, she continued her career at Waterbury Garment and other production facilities in the Waterbury area, and finally Walmart being her last employer.
She had an adventurous spirit and a love for the outdoors, often enjoying many motorcycle rides throughout the northeast, especially going to Bantam Lake, Lake George, Niagara Falls and Maine. Debbie also loved spending time with her dog Pandy, a loyal companion for many years.
Debbie leaves behind numerous cousins and many dear friends.
Funeral services will be private. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury. Arrangements are under the direction of The Wallingford Funeral Home 809 North Main Street Ext. Wallingford.
