Michael Vance Epting

Michael Vance Epting, 72, of Wallingford, loving husband of Sandra (Walton) Epting for 51 years, passed away peacefully February 28, 2026 at his home with his wife at his side.

Mike was born in Columbia, South Carolina on September 2, 1953. He was predeceased by his parents, Lola and Alan Hekking.

Mike worked at Tech Circuits Inc. as a manager for many years until retiring. Mike was a lover of all animals, especially his fur babies Molly, Gaby, Reggie and Jennie who he is with now. Also, his sisters-in-law's dog Murphy, who helped take care of him and gave him such love and joy.

The family would like to thank all of his caregivers for the care and compassion they gave Mike and his family during his illness.

In addition to his wife, Sandra, he is survived by his sister, Lana Myers and her husband, Stephen; his brother, Kenneth Hekking and his wife, Susie; his sisters-in-law, Merrilyn Wojkowski and Bevy Poggio and her husband, Roger, Carolyn Quigley and her husband, Jay; his brothers-in-law, Philip Walton and his wife, Susan, James Walton and his wife, Ellen, Jeffrey Walton and his wife, Kim; and several nieces and nephews who he adored. He was predeceased by his brothers-in-law, Stan Wojkowski and Donald Poggio, his mother-in-law, Beverly Walton, his father-in-law, Philip Walton, his niece, Krystyne Poggio and his nephew, Scot Poggio.

Interment in the In Memoriam Cemetery is private. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main Street Ext. The family requests that, in honor of Mike, you do a kind deed for an animal.
