Beth Ferguson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Wallingford Funeral Home - Wallingford on Feb. 28, 2026.
Beth Lisa (Laubstein) Ferguson, 64, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at Hartford Hospital. She was the loving wife of Michael Tiscia and the late Ronald W. Ferguson.

Beth was born in New Haven, September 6, 1961, the daughter of Deeva (Grossman) Laubstein and the late Melvin Laubstein. She was raised in Orange and Woodbridge, and graduated from Amity Regional High School with the class of 1979 before attending Ithaca College.

Beth was successful in the business world, having established herself as the owner of New Directions, an employment agency that not only thrived under her leadership but also helped countless individuals find their own paths to success. She possessed a keen insight into the world of business and had great ability to connect with people.

Beyond her professional achievements, Beth was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was also an avid lover of animals. Her dogs were not just pets but members of her family, cherished companions who shared in the warmth of her home and heart. During her free time, Beth enjoyed volunteering at the Meriden humane Society, helping rescues find their forever homes. She even fostered some dogs until their new parents could adopt them.

Beth's zest for life was most evident in the time she spent at her family's beach house in Milford, CT. It was there, with the sand between her toes and the sea breeze in her hair, that she found peace and rejuvenation. Those who were lucky enough to join her at this seaside retreat will fondly remember the laughter, the stories, and the unforgettable memories created there.

In addition to her husband Michael and mother Deeva, she will be missed by her sons, Jeffrey G. Ferguson, and Ethan Ferguson (Samantha); her step-sons, Ryan Tiscia (Meagan), and Kevin Tiscia (Marisa); her grandson, Luca Tiscia; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Keith and Autumn Laubstein, Clifford and Bea Laubstein, and Brian Laubstein; her nephews and niece, Melvin, Zax, James and Hunter Laubstein; and many extended family members and dear friends.

Beth's family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext, on Monday, March 2nd, from 4pm to 7pm. Burial at St. John Cemetery in Wallingford will be private. In lieu of flowers, gifts in Beth's memory may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Earlier today

Beth was truly special, warm, welcoming, and full of life. She had a gift for making people feel comfortable and seen; when she was with you, you felt it. That was simply who she was.
When she joined our family, she fit in so easily. She wasn´t just a sister-in-law; she became our sister, and we are grateful for the years we had with her.
We are also thankful for Michael, who loved her deeply and stood by her side, and for the beautiful family they built. Jeffrey, Ethan, and Samantha, such an important part of this family, your mom spoke of you with so much pride. You were her greatest joy, and it showed in all she did.
Beth loved generously, evident in her family, friendships, and her work helping others through New Directions. Caring for people wasn´t just something she did; it was who she was.
We find comfort believing she is reunited with those who went before her, finally at peace. We will hold our memories of her close. Beth, you are deeply loved and will always be missed.
