Deborah Pleau Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home on Jan. 27, 2025.
Obituary of Deborah "Debbie" A. Pleau
Deborah A. Pleau, 76, of Burlington, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Wednesday, January 22, 2025.
Born in Boston on October 15, 1948, Debbie was the daughter of the late Louis R. and Anne M. (Treacy) Pleau. She grew up in Dorchester before moving to Burlington in 1973, where she spent the remainder of her life.
Debbie, a graduate of Northeastern University, dedicated her career to teaching after spending many years working in the HR department at Gillette in South Boston. She later left the corporate world and transitioned into elementary education, spending the rest of her professional life as an elementary school teacher at St. Theresa's School in West Roxbury, where she nurtured and inspired generations of students.
Outside the classroom, Debbie had a deep love for dogs. Throughout her life, she was a devoted pet parent to four beloved dogs-Clancy, Duffy, Harry, and Cody-who brought her endless joy and companionship. In her free time, she could often be found reading, watching her favorite sci-fi shows, or enjoying the comfort of her dogs by her side.
Debbie's generosity knew no bounds, and she never missed a birthday or special occasion, always giving thoughtful gifts or sending heartfelt messages. Her sharp wit and dry, sarcastic sense of humor kept everyone laughing and on their toes.
Debbie is survived by her dear brother, David L. Pleau, and his wife, Genny, of Kingston; her beloved nephew and niece, Justin L. Pleau of Quincy and Tracy Anne Analoro and her husband, Paul, of Rockland. She also leaves behind her cherished cousins, Tim Kelley and Mary Dwyer, as well as her lifelong friend, Pat Webb, along with many other relatives and friends who will miss her deeply.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, January 31, from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn Street, Burlington. A funeral service will follow at 12:30 PM, with interment at Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Burlington. In lieu of flowers, donations in Debbie's memory may be made to the MSPCA.
