Deborah Randall Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Congleton Funeral Home and Cremations - Greenville on Dec. 10, 2025.
Deborah Kay Kelley Randall, 74, peacefully returned to be with the Lord on December 7, 2025. She transitioned from her earthly life at ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville, NC, surrounded by loved ones.

Deborah was born in Muskegon, MI, and grew up in Muskegon Heights, MI. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Adam and Daisy Kelley; parents, Walter and Katherine Kelley; sister, Cheryl Kelley; niece, Katrina; and nephew, Marlon Jr. She graduated from Muskegon Heights High School in 1969, later completing studies at Hartford Airline School. She earned her Associate's degree from Muskegon Community College, her Bachelor's degree from the University of Southern California, and her Master's degree from Grand Valley State University. Deborah worked for school districts within the Muskegon Intermediate School District and Rockingham County, VA.

She was a member of Christ Temple Church in Muskegon Heights, MI, where her husband was also baptized. During her years in the Alexandria, VA area, she worshiped at Old Pentecost Church in Washington, DC, and later at Lighthouse in Woodstock, VA. In 1980, she married John Randall at First Apostolic of Inglewood in Inglewood, CA. Together, they worshiped at Potter's House in Harrisonburg, VA, and Divine Unity Church in Harrisonburg, VA, where Deborah lovingly taught children's church. In 2023, she and her husband moved to North Carolina to be closer to their son and his family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Deborah especially enjoyed her church community and studying the Bible. She loved sharing about the Second Coming of Jesus and completed a leadership certificate at the Divine Unity Leadership Institute (DULI) after finishing all required coursework.

She was blessed with-and deeply loved-each of her children. They were her life's joy. Deborah is survived by her daughter, Meashum (Tod) Brown of Hawthorne, CA; sons, John Jonathan Randall of Farmville, NC, and Jason (Amanda) Randall of Winterville, NC; and her step-sons, Cedrix Wright and Brian (Sandra) Wilkerson.

A Celebration of Life will take place at The St. Timothy's Chapel, Parish Hall, 107 Louis Street, Greenville, NC 27858, on Saturday, December 13, from 12:00–2:00 PM.

An interment service will take place at Danville National Cemetery, 721 Lee St, Danville, VA 24541, on Monday, December 15, at 11:00 AM.

I remember Debbie as the beautiful girl that lived next door to us when we lived on Jefferson street and gave an heights.
She was quite a bit older than me, but she had younger brother's and sisters, like I had younger brother's and sisters, I was the oldest of my siblings.
I remember a few times when she used to babysit at our house next door to them.
The Kelly's were a wonderful family that we got to know, not just next door but also through going to the same church which was Christ temple.
I was shocked when I read on Facebook that Debbie had passed away. She was a beautiful person inside and out and I know her family will miss her dearly rest in peace, dear Debbie.
