Deborah Marie "Debbie" Scarcella, age 67, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on Monday, November 3, 2025. She was born on March 5, 1958, in Texas City, Texas, to Robert and Patricia Galloway.

Debbie dedicated her career to public service as a City Planner and Building Official for League City and West University Place. Her work reflected her commitment to improving her community, but her greatest joy in life came from her family and her deep faith. She loved her grandchildren with every fiber of her soul and found strength and purpose through her unwavering devotion to the Lord, even during life's most difficult times.

Debbie was known for her warmth, humor, and openness. She had an extraordinary ability to make anyone feel like family, greeting every person she met with kindness and understanding. She was quick with a joke, even in tense moments, and while she never hesitated to share her opinions, she always took the time to listen and consider other perspectives. Her love and generosity touched everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Randy Scarcella; her daughter, Lesliann (Tripp) Vail; her sons Chris (Olivia) Scarcella and Bryan Scarcella; and her cherished grandchildren; Adriana, Skylar, and Elijah Vail; and Madelyn, Jackson, and Sophia Scarcella. She is also survived by her sister Dianne (Rusty) Cornett; brothers Bubba (Julie), Ronnie (Vicki), and Frank (Dee Ann) Galloway; sister-in-law Neeka (Bryan) Marshall; and many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. She also leaves behind her Aunt Pauline (Franklin) McKinney and Uncle H.C. (Pam) Kosler.

Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Patricia Galloway, and her brother, Patrick Galloway.

A viewing and rosary will be held on Sunday, November 9, at Crowder Funeral Home in Dickinson from 6-7 pm and the Rosary at 7 pm. To celebrate Debbie's life a funeral mass will be held on Monday, November 10 at 11 am at Mary Queen Catholic Church in Friendswood, followed by burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Dickinson.

Debbie will be remembered for her faith, laughter, and boundless love for her family. Her presence will be deeply missed but forever cherished by all who knew her.
