Deborah Schriner Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Rossell Funeral Home - Flushing on Dec. 11, 2025.
Our family of 9 siblings lost our sister Deborah June Schriner, Debbie, at the age of 68, on December 8, 2025. Even with a difficult health history, she loved to help others. Working at a travel agency she was able to fulfill some of her travel wants, especially loving Disney World, and shared with her families and friends some of those perks. Her drawing expertise was also shared with her nieces and nephews. Debbie was always fashionable, wearing makeup in public and her animal print clothes. She was a talented jewelry maker and honored our mom by making pink breast cancer awareness jewelry to share or raise funds. At holiday times and special occasions, her homemade cheesecakes were the best. Playing board games was a fun pastime. Debbie aided our dad as he aged and adopted his dog. She doted on her nieces and nephews and remained loyal to her friends. She will be remembered for her loving heart. A special thank you goes out to her myriads of doctors, PA's, nurses, receptionists, especially Dr. Jon Schriner.
Debbie is survived by her siblings, Gloria Halligan, Robert (Brenda) Schriner, Linda (Mike) Sushynski, Dennis (Marie) Schriner, Richard (Denise) Schriner, Ronald (Chong) Schriner, Brian (Missy) Schriner, Brenda Warner; and many nieces and nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Her parents, William (Bill) and Audrey preceded her in death.
On Thursday, December 18, 2025, family and friends will pay tribute and gather at 10 a.m. at St. Robert Catholic Church until the time of the Memorial Mass at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to donate to your favorite charity.

Our family sends our deep, deep sympathy. Cousin Debbie was always someone I, as a younger family member, looked up to. Her great love for others, laughter and megawatt smile will live on in those who loved her.

I met Debbie aka Tiger at the Mt Morris Secretary of State when it was owned by the Allan´s in 1976 . When tabs were due April 15th and we charged .25 to fill out form. After SOS turned into civil offices, Deb went to Red Carpet Travel as a travel agent and a good one too! I then went to travel school and in 79 also worked for Red Carpet Travel on ballenger rd. As we were close and always talking they transferred me to Eastland Mall. The fun days of travel! Our first trip was to Los Angeles. Deb rented a convertible white Camero and missed required dinner to tour Beverly Hills and ride horses along the beach. We got in trouble! After that trip we went on a cruise. Deb was a fun spirited friend who was full of love and fiercely loved her family. We have stayed friends all these years and she will be greatly missed. She struggled with health issues but always was dressed to the T and always looked beautiful. I love you Tiger! Till we net again.
