Deborah Sinko Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. - Keeseville on Dec. 9, 2025.
Deborah Ann Marie Sinko, 70, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2025, after a long illness. Her spouse of 38 years, Sandra L. Grover, was by her side.
She was born in Cleveland, Ohio on December 13, 1954, and attended Ohio State University. She worked as a teamster in Cleveland before moving to Tampa, Florida and worked as a manager for 28 years for the Hillsborough County Environmental Protection Commission.
In 2017, Debbie and Sandy moved to the Adirondack Mountains in New York and enjoyed their retirement with more cruises. Debbie's interests were far-ranging - from environmental issues, to film, literature and music, to international affairs and domestic politics. She loved traveling and Cleveland sports teams but most of all, she loved meeting people along her life's journey.
She was predeceased by her parents, Helen Pavlac Sinko and John Sinko; her younger sister, Eileen Sinko; cousins, aunts and uncles and by her mother-in-law, Helen McLoy and sister-in-law, Cheryl Thomas.
She is survived by her beloved wife, her older sister, Barbara Sinko, and her nephew, Christian Hegedus.
A Catholic priest administered appropriate sacraments to Debbie while she was in Comfort Care. She will be remembered at a Catholic Mass at a later date. Further arrangements will be private.
Donations may be made to a local animal rescue organization in her memory.
Arrangements are in the care of the Hamilton Funeral Home, 124 Clinton Street, Keeseville, 518-834-7667.
