Sarah J. Sinko, 79, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2025. Born on August 24, 1946, in Nazareth, PA, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Bertha (Knecht) Haldeman. Sarah was the loving wife of the late Edward J. Sinko Sr.
Sarah was a proud graduate of Nazareth High School and furthered her education at Rider University, where she earned both her bachelor's and master's degrees. With a passion for teaching, she dedicated her career to educating young minds at Churchman Business School and also made a significant impact in the lives of adults through her work in adult basic education for a private industry council.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Sarah was an avid football fan, passionately supporting her teams-the Penn State Nittany Lions and the Philadelphia Eagles. She filled her life with joy through her active participation in the Silver Sneakers exercise program and the Primetime Club, where she made many lasting friendships.
Sarah cherished the moments spent traveling with her late husband, Edward. Together, they embarked on numerous cruises and bus trips, creating treasured memories along the way. She delighted in her role as a grandmother, finding immense joy in the company of her grandchildren, who brought light into her life.
Surviving is her daughter: Melanie Brown, wife of Christopher, sons: Michael Sinko, husband of Wendy, and Edward J. Sinko Jr, husband of Lois; her brother: Victor Haldeman, husband of Rosa; and his 9 grandchildren: Ethan, husband of Alivia, Gabriel, Jillian, Devyn, Ryan, Matthew, Aiden, Gabrielle, and Elise. She is predeceased by her loving husband Edward J. Sinko Sr.
