Karen M. Discavage

Karen M. Schalki Discavage, of Philadelphia, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Philadelphia to Dyke and Evelyn Schalki, Karen graduated from Nazareth High School and then went on to Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Sciences to become a Pharmacist. Karen wore many hats in her short lifetime including mother, gymnastics coach, animal lover, and travel enthusiast. She spent over 20 years coaching gymnastics and truly loved every child she taught. Her favorite place to be was the beach, specifically St. John, where she spent numerous trips volunteering, walking dogs at the animal shelter, and soaking up the sun and amazing views. She wanted to make an impact on all those around her to make the world a better place and we truly believe she has left her imprint on anyone she came across.

Karen is survived by her children: William Discavage, Michael Discavage, and Emily Discavage. She is also survived by her mother, Evelyn Schalki and brothers Michael Schalki and Steve Schalki She is predeceased by: her father Dyke Schalki and her aunt Florence Pirnie.

She will be missed by all who love her.

Family and Friends are invited to attend A Memorial Visitation on Wednesday November 26, 2025, at Joseph A Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown Richboro Rd, Richboro, PA 18954 (at Holland Rd) from 9:00am until the Prayer Service at 11:00am.

There will be a second memorial in Wildwood NJ date and time to be determined.
