Rocco Perugini, 61, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on December 1, 2025. He was a devoted husband to his loving wife of 28 years, Cheryl (Letcher) Perugini. Born in Bloomfield, New Jersey, on September 19, 1964, he was the beloved son of Carlo Perugini, of Santa Lucia, Italy, and the late Paulina (Sanzari) Perugini.
A proud graduate of Bloomfield High School, Class of 1982, Rocco went on to build a successful entrepreneurial career as the owner and operator of Perugini Tile & Marble in Hazleton and later in Emmaus. Over the last 35 years, his business flourished into an esteemed showroom and design center, admired by customers and the community alike and grounded in a rich family tradition in the tile and marble trade-one that traces back three generations to the Benevento province of Italy.
In 1984, Rocco achieved a significant personal milestone by becoming a Golden Gloves boxing champion in New Jersey, drawing inspiration from his idol, Muhammad Ali, whom he revered as the greatest of all time. Rocco's competitive spirit and dedication were evident in both his professional and personal life.
Rocco's zest for life extended well beyond his professional endeavors. He was immensely proud of his Italian heritage and was an amazing cook, often found in the kitchen preparing unforgettable meals for his family and friends. His homemade sauce, often accompanied by the timeless melodies of Frank Sinatra, was a testament to his culinary talents and his love for tradition. Rocco also enjoyed savoring a fine cigar paired with a glass of scotch while cheering on his favorite team, the Miami Dolphins.
Rocco's journey through life was one marked by passion, dedication, and an unwavering love for his family and heritage. His legacy is one that will resonate for years to come within the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Survivors: In addition to his wife Cheryl, he was a proud father to his son Carlo Perugini and daughter Lina Perugini, his sister Josephine Marino and her husband Jimmy, his brother Francesco Perugini and his wife Erica, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and friends, whom will remember him fondly. Rocco was predeceased by his sister Gilda Trabucco and his beloved dog Snoop.
