Anthony E. Perugini, 96, of Hightstown, passed away on Friday, July 25, 2025, at Penn Medicine-Princeton Medical Center in Plainsboro, NJ.

Born and raised in the Bronx, NY, Mr. Perugini resided in Edison for many years prior to settling in Hightstown 17 years ago. An honorably discharged as a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, he went on to earn his bachelor's degree in chemistry from Iona College, and his master's degree in business from City College of New York. Mr. Perugini had a long career with Western Electric (now AT&T) in Newark and enjoyed a 40-year retirement.

In his spare time, you could find Mr. Perugini swimming at The Y for his health and for fun or visiting golfing greens from Long Island to Myrtle Beach. He was a terrific gardener, growing flowers for his wife and vegetables for the family. With pride, Mr. Perugini dedicated 23 years to Patient Advocacy at John F. Kennedy Medical Center in Edison.

Mr. Perugini firmly believed in the power of education and using it to reach one's potential. He was a steadfast and supportive husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He adored "his Bride" Rosalie, and worked every day to ensure her comfort and care. Mr. Perugini stood as an example of dedication and hard work for his family. He enjoyed trips to New York with his children, and later grandchildren, taking them to museums and gardens and creating memories to last a lifetime and beyond.

Predeceased by his parents, Luigi and Antoinette (DiFiori) Perugini; and his brother, Thomas, who was killed while serving in Korea; he is survived by his loving wife and partner of 77 years, Rosalie F. (Apuzzo) Perugini; his children and their spouses, Louise T. Perugini and Joseph Page, Thomas L. and Susan Perugini, and Georgette and Mark Ambruso; his grandchildren, Ryan, Adrian, Eric, Regina, Vincent and Laura; and his great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Isabelle, Aedan, Olivia, Luke, and Cash.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m., with preparation for the Funeral Processional to begin at 9:45 a.m., at A.S. Cole Son & Co., 22 North Main Street, Cranbury, NJ.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua RC Church, 251 Franklin Street, Hightstown, NJ 08520.

Interment will follow at Holy Cross Burial Park in South Brunswick, NJ.

Anthony was a wonderful next-door neighbor. I will miss his greetings from the chair he often sat on outside his garage: "How are you doing? How's your bride?" He was an upbeat man in a world with too many complainers. Pauline and I will continue to pray for Rosalie and the entire family.
