Deborah Gay Stombaugh, 74, of Springfield, Missouri passed away November 13th, 2025, in her home.

Deborah (Debbie) was born on August 31st, 1951, in Springfield, Missouri. First Daughter of John "Keith" Stine and Dorzella McDaniel-Stine and sister to Kerry, Nick, and Carl Stine. She went on to marry Terry Stombaugh, recently celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary. She was a member of and attended St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.

A student at Glendale High School, she graduated in 1969. After graduation she pursued an education in respiratory therapy and then attended the School of Natural Healing in Springville, Utah. Debbie worked at the Shealy Institute later retiring from Spring Valley Health foods as a manager after 26 years.

Debbie was very passionate about improving people's lives through holistic and natural remedies. Her love of life and people was expressed through her patience, calm demeanor, sense of humor, compassion, a willingness to listen, curiosity, and a drive to learn new things. She enjoyed self-expression through watercolors, jewelry making, cooking, and playing music. She truly was a beautiful soul who will be missed by many.
She leaves behind a legacy of her daughter, Brittney and son, Zachary, three grandchildren, three brothers, and extended family throughout the area.

Services will be held at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home, 1947 East Seminole Street, Friday November 21, 2025, at 11:30am followed by the burial at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, 5201 S. Southwood Rd, Springfield, MO at 1pm.
