Melissa (Missy) Anne Bisno, of Ozark, MO, passed away peacefully at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, MO, surrounded by family and friends on February 24, 2026, at the age of 50. She is now resting in the arms of her Savior. Missy was born in Milwaukee, WI, on August 30, 1975, but spent most of her life in Springfield, MO and St. Louis, MO. She graduated from Glendale High School in Springfield, MO in 1993.
Missy could light up a room with her humor and wit. She had a knack for keeping her family and friends laughing. Missy will be remembered for her heart for others. She enjoyed working with children and adults with special needs. Missy found peace in listening to the Biblical teachings of both Craig Groeschel and Dr. Charles Stanley.
Missy is survived by her daughter, Alex, whom she loved dearly and was very proud of; parents, Judy and Ben Murphy and Larry Bisno (Tania); sister, Amy McComas (Kevin); several nieces and nephews, Elliot McComas (Brett), Eliza McComas, August McComas, Mabel Bisno, and Otto Bisno; and a great niece, Lottie McComas. Missy always felt a deep connection to her Michigan family, Uncle Bud and Aunt Judy Shulman and their children.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Scott Bisno, whom she loved and admired, as well as a host of grandparents.
A celebration of life will be held on March 21, 2026, at 9:00 am at Hill City Church, 2050 E Trafficway St, Springfield, MO 65802.
Cremation rites were under direction of Adams Crematory and arrangements are under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.
