Deborah Ellen Stubbs, Long Lake, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2025. She had been hospitalized with an ongoing illness. Debbie, age 74, was the middle daughter born to Roger Avery and Rena Stubbs. She is survived by her oldest sister, Marcia Stubbs Beese (Montana), younger sister Lucia Stubbs, nephew, Bruce Beese (NYC), niece, Elizabeth Beese Stricker, her husband Darin, and two daughters, Noelle (6) and Adalee (3) (Montana), and many relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held on June 26, at Calvin Presbyterian Church, Long Lake, at 11:00 am, preceded by a private burial.

Debbie graduated from Orono High School in June 1968. At one time she worked at a Kentucky Children's Home as a house parent for about 5 years. Debbie lived a life of service, and worked for many years at local nursing homes as a nurses aide. Debbie will be remembered for her caring and compassionate and loving heart. She reached out to others with an encouraging word and upbeat phone call. She loved the Lord dearly. She had many talents, a flair for the artistic, loved good music. She loved to read, and was a faithful patron of the local library. She was a member of the Calvin Presbyterian Church, and past volunteer at the local pioneer museum. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
