Deborah L. Stump

Deborah Lynn Stump, lovingly known as Deb, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2025, at Mercy One Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. Born on July 8, 1951, in Osceola, Iowa, Deb lived a fulfilling life of 74 years, bringing joy and love to those around her.
Deb received her education in Osceola, graduating from Clarke Community High School in 1969. She married her beloved husband, Craig Stump, on August 22, 1970, at the Murray Church of Christ in Murray, Iowa. Together they shared a beautiful life and were blessed with three daughters: Jennifer, Kimberly, and Lisa.
Throughout her career, Deb worked as an associate for Walmart for a few years and spent many cherished years at Highway Lumber in Osceola. In her earlier years, she contributed her skills to Clarke Community Schools and IMT Insurance in Des Moines.
Deb had a passion for gardening and crocheting, and she found great joy in spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She and Craig attended many car shows across Iowa and northern Missouri, building treasured memories. An occasional visit to the casino was a pleasure she enjoyed while the boys watched the ponies. A welcoming host, Deb took delight in having her daughters' friends gather at their home during their upbringing.
Preceding Deb in death were her father, Andrew Morris Goodrich, Jr., her mother, Veda Mae Goodrich, and her grandparents.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories in the hearts of her surviving family: her devoted husband, Craig Stump of Osceola, IA; her daughters, Jennifer (Troy) Havard of Des Moines, IA, Kimberly Henaman of Des Moines, IA, and Lisa (Scott) Farnsworth of Lamoni, IA; and her grandchildren, Alyshia Havard, Tylor Havard, Brittany Henaman, Kaleb Henaman, Logan Henaman, Taylor (Brennon) Farnsworth-Short, and Ashley (Skyler Sanders) Farnsworth. Her great-grandchildren, Larra Van Vark, Lydia Havard, Sierra Sanders, Kinsley Henaman, and Elias Henaman, will carry forward her legacy along with her brother, Terry Lee (Jeri) Goodrich of Des Moines, IA; her brother, Andrew Allen (Ankqua) Goodrich of Indianola, IA; brothers-in-law, Bryon (Catherine) Stump of Blairstown, IA, and Mike (Rhonda) Stump of Indianola, IA, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held in honor of Deb at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola on Friday, January 2, 2026, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Liberty Cemetery at a later date.
